Originally started by Mini in the USA to celebrate the road trip, exploring the world and having fun, as the mini is a fun car to drive.  Since then any and all makes of car have and are welcome to join in with the day.

'Get lost and have fun' seems to be the motto. Well we've all done that, just probably not at the same time!  Why not plan your adventure.
