With Burns night fast approaching on 25th January, lets have a think about what the Scots have done for us in turns of the motor industry.

The Hillman Imp is a Scottish car that was once the cheapest new car on the roads. Nearly half a million Imps were manufactured from 1963 to 1976. 

...and John Boyd Dunlop a Scottish inventor who created the first practicall pneumatic tyre for his child's bicycle and later produced pneumatic tyres for racing. Since then, the Dunlop name has been associated with the technology and development of high performance types.
